Therapeutic Breathwork Workshop

w/ Dehan Elcin

Sundays 1:30 - 3:00

April 21st & May 26th

In this 90-minute conscious breathing workshop, we will use lightly activating breaths and varying breath holds, to induce physiological changes in the body. These changes in turn, will allow you to deeply connect with bodily sensations and dissolve holding patterns. Most healing work focuses on the mental realm. A lot of our trauma, however, is stored in the body. Therapeutic breathwork allows for direct access to the body and gets to the root of most issues. Whether you're new to breathwork or an experienced practitioner, this session is a great opportunity to connect with the power of your breath.

About the teacher:
I'm Dehan Elcin. Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, I moved to the United States in 2013. Breathwork has profoundly transformed my life, leading me to found PsyBreath to share this practice with others. I began my facilitation training at Transformations USA in 2019 and am now a Level II Certified Therapeutic Breathwork facilitator. Beyond guiding group and individual sessions, I'm working toward a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at Tulane University. There, I research the neuroscience and therapeutic outcomes of breathwork. My aim is to meld scientific insight with the spiritual essence of therapeutic breathwork.
Andrea will lead us to a different neighborhood spot each month. Meet at the studio for details.
